A Mid-Face lift, is different from a traditional face lift. It provides a vertical lift, lifting sagging cheeks and smoothing out the skin on your face. The mid-face lift restores the rounded facial contours by lifting and repositioning the soft tissues between your eyes and mouth, leaving the patient with a refreshed look that turns back time. The current trend is to have surgery at a younger age, maybe early 40's, when the signs of aging are beginning to show.

Unlike a traditional facelift procedure that might target all areas of the face and neck the Mid Facelift procedure is designed to correct the area around the eyes and sagging cheekbones. It restores fullness to these areas and this makes the patient look younger. The Mid Facelift corrects some of the early signs of aging, providing a rejuvenated appearance to somebody who has started the aging process but does not yet feel the need for a full facelift. This procedure is especially dramatic when combined with other procedures such as a brow lift and eyelid surgery. The combined procedures rejuvenate the cheekbone area and brighten the eyes. Many people in their late thirties to late forties can have marked improvement in their appearance with a procedure whose scars are all hidden in the temple and the inner mouth.
This procedure involves a lot more swelling than a normal face lift and requires 2 to 3 weeks of recovery.
